Introducing our July Flavour of the Month: Angel Hair Chocolate!

From viral trend to supermarket shelves, Angel Hair Chocolate is taking the UK by storm. First made famous on TikTok and Instagram, it gained attention not just for its flavour, but for its visual appeal — videos of people pulling apart the fine chocolate strands to reveal a soft, candyfloss-like centre, have gone viral, turning it into a confectionery sensation.

What Makes Angel Hair Chocolate So Special?

At the heart of Angel Hair Chocolate’s appeal is a multi-sensory experience that goes beyond taste alone. Visually, it’s whimsical and engaging. Texturally, it’s unexpected — fine and delicate on the outside, soft and fluffy within. And flavour-wise, it’s a nostalgic yet modern treat that blends:

  • Juicy strawberry
  • Sweet candyfloss (pişmaniye – a traditional Turkish cotton candy)
  • Smooth pistachio cream
  • Decadent chocolate (white, milk or dark)

This indulgent flavour profile delivers both familiarity and novelty, appealing to a wide range of palates and age groups. It evokes the carefree sweetness of childhood treats while offering a sophisticated twist that resonates with today’s flavour-forward consumers.

From Trend to Shelf

Angel Hair Chocolate is the creation of Belgian chocolatier, Tucho, the first European chocolatier to also make a Dubai Chocolate bar.

It’s already making its way to shelves, with major UK supermarkets, including Tesco, Lidl, and Morrisons, having already launched their interpretations of the chocolate bar.

Innovation in Action

At Nactarome, we’re always exploring how trending flavours can be reimagined for real-world product development — and Angel Hair Chocolate is no exception.

Our R&D team has been experimenting with creative new applications of this flavour in products such as ice cream, cream liqueurs and cheesecake!
